Yoga is for everyone, at any age, and in any physical condition! You don’t have to be strong and flexible to do yoga, but yoga will help you gain strength and flexibility. It can both calm you and energize you.

Come and join me for yoga in Westchester County, New York. I hold classes in South Salem, White Plains, Mount Kisco, Yonkers, and Rye, or you can schedule a private yoga or yoga therapy session at these locations or in your own home.

I am trained, and teach, in the Viniyoga style. Viniyoga is characterized by:

Emphasis on the breath - linking breath to movement
Repetition of two or three poses, followed by holding a pose for several breaths
Adaptations of poses for each individual practitioner

For more information about Viniyoga, please go to the American Viniyoga Institute web site.

About the name...

The Rippowam Tribe occupied the area that is now northeastern Westchester County in New York and northwest Fairfield County in Connecticut, the area in which I live and teach. My South Salem classes are held in view of Lake Rippowam and, weather permitting, we have class outside at the lakefront.
